Board Gains
Demand for gypsum products in North America is projected to increase 2.7 percent annually through 2013 to 47.7 million metric tons valued at $5.3 billion. Gypsum board is the largest gypsum product segment by a wide margin, accounting for about 70 percent of demand.

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum Roof Assembly Reduces Sound Penetration by More Than 50 Percent
Georgia-Pacific Gypsum, an innovator in the development and use of fiberglass mat-based gypsum panels, announced that its assembly for retrofitting lightweight commercial roof decks based on its DensDeck Roof Board product can reduce sound penetration by more than 50 percent.

Telling Industries has begun a full conversion to the True-Stud product line. The line is a patent pending drywall framing system that utilizes improved design elements and stronger raw materials.

Georgia-Pacific Double Length of Weather Exposure
Georgia-Pacific Gypsum, the first manufacturer to offer extended Weather Exposure Limited Warranties for fiberglass mat gypsum panels, is now doubling the weather exposure limited warranty for its entire line of DensArmor Plus interior panels from six months to 12 months. 

Eco-friendly acoustical lines
The company has converted all major acoustical fiberglass-based product lines to a more earth-friendly core material. These fiberglass board and blanket materials are produced by Knauf using its Ecose technology. 

Entire insulation line conversion
All Knauf mechanical insulation products, including Friendly-Feel Duct Wrap, Eclipse Duct Board, Duct Board M, Sonic XP Duct Liner and Rigid Plenum Liner have now been converted to Ecose Technology, as well as its pipe and equipment insulation products.

Fire-rated expansion joint system
The EMSHIELD WFR2 (which stands for Wall, Fire-Rated, 2-hours) performs all the functions necessary to accommodate movements in a single installation, reducing the environmental impact while meeting fire-safety and building codes.

High-recycled content ceiling panels
The Ecophon Master Solo S Ceiling Panel allows creative design in ceiling spaces and permits the easy integration of a variety of lighting systems. The panel is manufactured from high-density fiberglass and has a high recycled content of 75 percent.
