Board Gains
Demand for gypsum products in North America is projected to increase 2.7 percent annually through 2013 to 47.7 million metric tons valued at $5.3 billion. Gypsum board is the largest gypsum product segment by a wide margin, accounting for about 70 percent of demand.

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum, the first manufacturer to offer extended Weather Exposure Limited Warranties for fiberglass mat gypsum panels, is now doubling the weather exposure limited warranty for its entire line of DensArmor Plus interior panels from six months to 12 months.

Eco-friendly acoustical lines
The company has converted all major acoustical fiberglass-based product lines to a more earth-friendly core material. These fiberglass board and blanket materials are produced by Knauf using its Ecose technology.

Entire insulation line conversion
All Knauf mechanical insulation products, including Friendly-Feel Duct Wrap, Eclipse Duct Board, Duct Board M, Sonic XP Duct Liner and Rigid Plenum Liner have now been converted to Ecose Technology, as well as its pipe and equipment insulation products.

Fire-rated expansion joint system
