CertainTeed Gypsum has announced the launch of CertainTeed Connect, a new extranet that provides customers 24/7 access to account information and a host of new online tools.

Through a secure, user-specific sign-on, customers can take advantage of live order tracking from initial order placement to product delivery. At each step of the process, users can print a copy of their order, with the ability to customize the information included on the printed copy. Sales orders for rail car shipments also include a link to track the shipment en route with checkpoint updates and planned delivery times.  

Through the site, customers also receive automatic e-mail notifications when new invoices or statements are generated, and credit notes can be searched quickly.  

“We engaged our customers in the development of the site to ensure we are providing the best service possible,” says John Thomas, Director of Customer Service for CertainTeed Gypsum. “By providing an array of online information and reporting data to customers, we are ultimately helping them succeed, enhancing the efficiency of the procurement process.”  

CertainTeed customers assisted in the development of the site, ensuring a fast, user-friendly tool that can easily be integrated into their routine business management activities. In response to feedback, the company incorporated special features, such as customizable reports that include year-to-date orders, comparisons of prior year orders and shipment reports by product group or specific location.  

ENAP, Inc., a distributor of CertainTeed products located in New Windsor, N.Y., participated in the development of the site and is thrilled with the capabilities it offers.

Rounding out the enhanced features, the site includes a news and information section covering  company activities, product launches and industry news. Detailed product information is also available, including pricing, complete specification submittal sheets and material safety data sheets.
