Allied Tube & Conduit, manufacturer of electrical and metal products, has announced the formation of the Allied Tube & Conduit – Construction Division (ACD). The new division was founded to better serve the commercial construction market.

The brand is comprised of Allied’s steel products and systems, including: Studco – Cold-formed structural and non-load-bearing steel framing products and accessories; Dynatruss (aka Amkey System Trusses) – Proprietary, patented, cold-formed steel sections used in fabrication of pitched or flat pre-engineered light-gauge steel trusses; and Dynastructure (formerly Dresden Framing Systems) – Tubular framing systems with integrated stud and track that facilitate fast and cost-efficient structural installations of firehouse, school, franchise and retail facilities.

“The re-alignment of our business was driven by industry demand,” said Mike Mendralla, general manager of the new division. “Our customers are always seeking more efficient and cost-effective solutions, and by putting our key products and services under one umbrella, we are now better poised to provide the most innovative solutions possible.”

The division is headquartered in Harvey, Ill. Manufacturing facilities are located in Phoenix; Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; Monee, Ill.; Houston and San Diego.
