Kinetics Noise Control Inc.

The company has converted all major acoustical fiberglass-based product lines to a more earth-friendly core material. These fiberglass board and blanket materials are produced by Knauf using its Ecose technology. This technology uses bio-based binder materials replacing the non-renewable petroleum-based chemicals used in traditional fiberglass binder. The fiberglass is certified by GreenGuard Children and Schools for meeting low VOC emission requirements. Unlike other fiberglass based products, the binder contains no phenol, formaldehyde or acrylics. This new manufacturing process reduces the embodied energy in the fiberglass binder by up to 70 percent, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of every Kinetics acoustical panel, baffle, noise curtain, and floor underlayment made with fiberglass blankets and boards.
