May 20-22, Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles

As a new conference this year, the Green West Expo will take place May 20-22, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles.

Commenting on the launch, Diane O’Connor, president of Los Angeles-based Green Media Enterprises, said, “Going ‘green’ is fast becoming one of the most significant economic, cultural, and political shifts of the 21st century. In the U.S. alone the market has surged to almost $250 billion annually, and new technologies are emerging every day. Many of these technologies and services have crossover applications throughout the public, private, and professional sectors. We recognized the need for a large-scale event to address the information requirements of this diverse industry and to help connect all the dots up and down the fast-evolving supplier and buyer chains.”

Green West will bring together the entire spectrum of green products and services under one roof, targeting business, government, and individual interests alike. The Green West conference will present a multi-faceted program, including: an opening day keynote address; sector-specific sessions focusing on the latest green advances in building design, materials, transportation, energy, manufacturing, facilities management, packaging, consumer products and other areas; going green success stories; and practical, interactive workshops and forums on how companies can initiate and expand their green operations.

The conference will open with a keynote address by General Manager of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power H. David Nahai. Widely recognized throughout California as a leading expert on water issues, Nahai has been serving as an ambitious leader in the efforts to increase the Department’s use of renewable energy sources, carve the path to modernize the utility’s infrastructure, and reduce its contribution to global warming.

The expo will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. all three days. For information about exhibiting at Green West contact Brian Henderson, (310) 984-6919. Complete details are online at www.GreenWestExpo.com.
