Walls & Ceilings Celebrates Milestone

In conjunction with the 70th anniversary of Walls & Ceilings, Paula Graham, South and West display advertising manager, celebrates her 20th anniversary with the magazine. After seven years as a Main Street Project Manager for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Graham returned to her journalistic roots, by coming to Walls & Ceilings in May 1988 as marketing director with former owners, Lee and Mary Rector. “Back then, we cross-trained in every department. We all edited the magazine, could help a client write a press release, take a subscription order or talk about payment on an account. With BNP Media’s acquisition of the magazine, we were able to offer so much more to our clients. I believe our continued diversification only furthers our ability to help these companies grow and prosper. It’s just a great place to be!” The publisher and staff of Walls & Ceilings congratulates Graham and looks forward to the next 20 years.

ParexLahabra, based in Anaheim, Calif., recently announced three personnel changes. Marc Brown has been named Plant Manager of ParexLahabra’s Riverside, Calif., location. He will have the primary responsibility of overseeing the operations of the manufacturing facility. He joined ParexLahabra in 2004. Charlie Bailey and Jonathan Harris have been added to the company’s sales team. Bailey will cover the Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee regions, while Harris will cover Utah and Arizona.

Putzmeister America Inc., based in Sturtevant, Wis., has named Travis Nonn as the new technical service engineer for its Customer Support Group, and Les Ormond as Telebelt Specialist. Nonn will serve as team leader for the PERC Department, along with his current responsibilities of providing support to the Customer Support Group and Manufacturing Group for Putzmeister’s Ergonic Systems. Ormond’s position is a new one, in which he will assist bringing Putzmeister’s TeleDemo program to the field.

The American Concrete Institute, based in Farmington Hills, Mich., introduced its new president, vice president, and four board members during the ACI Spring 2008 Convention in Los Angeles last month. Luis E. García, of Bogotá, Colombia, is the first ACI president from outside the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada. Richard D. Stehly is the new vice president and new board members are Claude Bédard, Beverly Garnant, Colin Lobo and Andrea Schokker.
