IRWIN Industrial Tools® Partners with James Hardie® Building Products
Huntersville, NC (April 26, 2006) - IRWIN Industrial Tools has been named the exclusive supplier to James Hardie® for demonstrations using IRWIN’s Blue Blade™ Bi-Metal Utility Blades and ProTouch™ Utility Knives to score their HardiBacker® Cement Board with Moldblock Protection™. James Hardie will provide samples of IRWIN Blue Blade Utility Blades and ProTouch Utility Knives at their booth at the annual American Wall and Ceilings (AWCI) Convention in Long Beach California on April 28 and 29, 2006.
IRWIN’s Blue Blade Bi-Metal Utility Blades are unbreakable under normal work conditions and last up to three times longer than typical carbon blades (as compared to IRWIN #2083100 carbon blades).
“We entered into a partnership with IRWIN as a result of the feedback we received from our sales force,” said the Interiors Product Manager for James Hardie, Stacey Otto. “IRWIN Blue Blade Bi-Metal Utility Blades cut Hardibacker easily and are a better alternative than saws or grinders, which can generate excessive silica dust. These blades are not only durable, but they also enable installers to get the job done more efficiently.”
Hardibacker board provides the durability and moisture and mold protection that greenboard and gypsum board can’t compete with, and cutting the board is easy when using IRWIN Blue Blade Bi-Metal Utility Blades.
