Hunter Douglas announced that it has donated a total of $350,000 to two nonprofits—the Foothills Flood Relief Fund, initiated by Foothills United Way, and Team Rubicon, a veteran service organization—to help relieve the suffering and aid the recovery of those most in need following the sustained and historic catastrophic flooding in Colorado. A number of employees at the Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Division based in Broomfield, Colo., were directly affected by the flooding.
Hunter Douglas matched donations from its employees on a two for one basis; for every dollar donated, the Company added another two dollars. In less than three weeks, the Company received $115,000 in contributions to its Hunter Douglas Colorado Flood Relief Fund and added another $235,000 for a total of $350,000.
