Armstrong Recycling Program Reaches Environmental Milestone
The Armstrong Ceiling Recycling Program reached a major, environmental milestone this year, recycling more than 155 million-square-feet of old ceilings globally since its inception 14 years ago.
By recycling the discarded ceiling tiles from renovation and demolition sites throughout North America, Europe, and Australia, Armstrong prevented the equivalent of more than 77,500 tons or roughly 22,175 dumpsters full of construction waste from being deposited in landfills across the globe. A major web search company was able to recycle over 500,000-square-feet of old ceiling tiles from renovation projects worldwide due to the global expansion of the Armstrong program.
