CertainTeed Stretches the Imagination at Hometown AIA National Convention in Philadelphia
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2016 National Convention theme is IMAGINE+, and hometown building products manufacturer CertainTeed Corporation is ready to inspire attendees with innovative building solutions that challenge the status quo. From May 19-21 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, the company will showcase its newest product technologies at booths #2210 and #2211, while hosting continuing education courses aimed at optimizing sustainability objectives in Learning Lounge #2011LL, hosted by sister company SageGlass. Architects will also have the chance to take an in-depth tour of the company’s new headquarters, aiming to become the first building in Pennsylvania to achieve double LEED Platinum status.
“We welcome architects from throughout the United States to our backyard for AIA this year,” said Mara Villanueva-Heras, vice president of corporate marketing for CertainTeed. “Having just opened our new state-of-the art headquarters in nearby Malvern, we’re excited to bring architects to the building so they can experience our own ‘living laboratory’— a building constructed with over 40 products from CertainTeed and sister Saint-Gobain businesses, where the impact of combining those products is measured in relation to acoustics, energy, daylighting and indoor air quality. It’s truly a model for how buildings of the future will be constructed.”
