Richard F.  Mulá Architects LLC, announced the completion and grand opening of the new Terex Services service center in Mountville, PA.  The 35,000-square-foot facility was designed for repairs and maintenance of equipment in the electric utility industry, as well as for employee training. The architects worked with Oak Tree Development Group on the $3.4 million project.

According to Founder, Principal, and Managing Partner Richard Mulá, Jr., AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, Terex moved its location from York to Lancaster County in order to provide better customer service and to be closer to its workforce.

“The design needed to accommodate the repair and maintenance of large scale equipment such as digger derricks, aerial devices, auger drills and auger tooling,” said Mulá.  “The facility is also large enough to repair and maintain boom truck cranes, Genie telehandlers, scissor and boom lifts.”

Mulá noted the design included work space for team collaboration and training.

“The training rooms serve a two-fold purpose: operator and technical instruction for customers and training for Terex employees,” he added.
