Simpson Strong-Tie Donates $25,000 to Aid Recovery Efforts in Turkey and Syria After Earthquake
On Feb. 6, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria. The earthquake and subsequent aftershocks have resulted in over 22,000 deaths to date and left countless others without shelter, food and basic necessities in cold winter conditions.
As a leading emergency response organization, the International Rescue Committee will be assisting with recovery in both countries. The IRC has begun with an assessment of what is needed in Turkey and Syria. The immediate response is focused on providing affected families with critical health services and protection.
