Eighteen employers attended the event, which was held at SOPREMA’s Pompano Beach facility on May 24.

Gebr. Knauf KG (“Knauf”) and USG Corporation announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which Knauf will acquire all of the outstanding shares of USG in a transaction valued at approximately $7.0 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, USG shareholders will receive $44.00 per share, which consists of $43.50 per share in cash payable upon closing of the transaction and a $0.50 per share special dividend that would be paid following shareholder approval of the transaction.

The United Soccer Leagues announced it has entered a multi-year partnership with Western Specialty Contractors, which will make the largest network of specialty contractors in the United States the Official Stadium Restoration Supplier for all related properties, including the United Soccer League, USL’s Division III, the Premier Development League (PDL) and the Super Y League. Western Specialty Contractors becomes the latest member of the USL’s Preferred Supplier Program, which has grown rapidly alongside the league to provide high-caliber services to the league and its clubs.
