ATAS International, Inc., a family-owned business that went from a siding and trim installer to an industry-leading manufacturer of metal panels for the building envelope with locations across the United States, is celebrating its 60th year of business in 2023.
The Mastlight at Union Point, a LEED Silver Certified apartment building, contributed to the transformative redevelopment of the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. The area is now known as the vibrant mixed-use district of Union Point.
The panels were used as exterior wall cladding on this 166-foot-tall building consisting of 10 stories (a two-story base, and an eight-story tower). They were installed by Tuschall Engineering of Burr Ridge, IL, and the architects for the project included Diller Scofidio + Renfro of New York City, and Brininstool + Lynch of Chicago. This project was the first-place winner in ATAS’ 2020 Project of the Year competition, in the commercial walls category.
The Opaline metal panel has long been a popular wall cladding option. Now, this flexible panel, in four profiles, can be used as a linear metal ceiling.
ATAS International has a new education course on Hanley Wood University. “Using Technologically Advanced Metal Building Products in LEED, Net Zero, and Passive Buildings” is approved by the AIA (for one LU/HSW) and GBCI (for one continuing education hour).
ATAS International is proud to launch Omawall, a new modular wall panel series, which is the most recent addition to their vast product offering. The product name pays tribute to the Dutch heritage of the founders of ATAS.
