The Dodge Momentum Index moved 4% higher in March to 166.9 (2000=100), up from the revised February reading of 160.3. The Momentum Index is a monthly measure of the initial report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year.

It really doesn’t matter “who” or “how” the fireproofing was damaged, it just needs to be fixed. Period.

The built environment is truly only as good as the sum of its parts, and as the demands of the spaces where we live, work, learn, and play increase, the materials and products that comprise them must evolve with those demands. So, too, must the means by which we test, measure, and verify the efficacy of these products.

The panels were used as exterior wall cladding on this 166-foot-tall building consisting of 10 stories (a two-story base, and an eight-story tower).  They were installed by Tuschall Engineering of Burr Ridge, IL, and the architects for the project included Diller Scofidio + Renfro of New York City, and Brininstool + Lynch of Chicago. This project was the first-place winner in ATAS’ 2020 Project of the Year competition, in the commercial walls category.
