A national leader in architecture and the arts has been named the new executive director for the leading women’s advocacy organization Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation.
Key leadership posts have been announced by Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation, leaders in women’s advocacy. Angelica T. Baccon, AIA, has been named chair of BWAF’s Board of Trustees. Baccon is principal at SHoP Architects, which led the design of The Bev, BWAF’s new headquarters and multipurpose space.
Pioneering architect and women’s advocate Beverly Willis, FAIA, died Oct. 1, according to her longtime spouse, Wanda Bubriski. Willis, 95, was an American architect whose architectural concepts and practices have influenced the design of cities and buildings.
