Nearly 2,000 engineers, architects, contractors, educators, manufacturers, and material representatives from around the world will convene at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, MI, USA, March 26-March 30, 2017, to collaborate on concrete codes, specifications and standards. 

SOPREMA Inc. has opened a new training center and offices in Hayward, Calif. The Hayward facility, located approximately 45 minutes west of San Francisco, will be a shared space for customers of SOPREMA, RESISTO and the newly acquired Chem Link. The new training center reaffirms the commitment SOPREMA has to providing education and training to the industry.

Kevin Haynes, architectural specification manager at Tubelite Inc., will present "Hurricane Impact Fenestration Design" as an educational session on Wed., Sept. 7, 11 a.m., at CONSTRUCT in the Austin Convention Center's room 9AB.

SOPREMA Inc., will be hosting a regional Building Envelope Clinic, in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sept. 23, 2016, for architects, consultants and contractors looking to further their knowledge, network and earn continuing education units. The clinic will be held at the Château Élan Winery & Resort, located at 100 Rue Charlemagne, Braselton, Ga.

A new CEU course, "Certified Stone: How the Natural Stone Sustainability Standard Can Assist Green Building Projects," has been added to the MIA+BSI CEU program. The course was authored by Kathy Spanier (Coldspring).

The Gypsum Association announced that it has been designated a Preferred Provider under the International Code Council Preferred Provider Program.
