Two G-P Gypsum plants receive SCS certification for recycled content
G-P Gypsum plants in Tacoma, Wash., and Wheatfield, Ind., have received certification for recycled content from Scientific Certification Systems, an internationally recognized, third-party evaluation and certification organization.
Both locations manufacture products utilizing Flue-Gas Desulphurization synthetic gypsum. Gypsum wallboard products produced at these plants utilize only synthetic gypsum for their raw material source. The Tacoma plant has been certified for G-P Gypsum's DensGuard and ToughRock gypsum products and the Wheatfield plant has been certified for ToughRock wallboard. The paper that faces the company's ToughRock wallboard is 100 percent recycled.
