For the sixth consecutive year, Dow Building Solutions has won the renowned “Partners of Choice” Award from David Weekley Homes, the nation’s second-largest for profit, privately held home builder. Dow stands out among the 150 evaluated companies as one of only two suppliers to achieve A’s in both quality and service (the highest possible rating) each year since the program’s inception.

“Remarkable falls short of describing Dow’s accomplishment,” said Bill Justus, vice president for David Weekley Homes, and the chief catalyst behind the homebuilder’s leading-edge supplier evaluation system. “The economy and its corresponding challenges have changed dramatically over the last six years. Nevertheless, during this time Dow has demonstrated world-class leadership and performance as reported by approximately 5,400 David Weekley Homes’ team members. Our raters have spoken, and through this period, nobody has higher quality or provides better service than Dow.”

Award winners are chosen based on the annual “National Trading Partner Survey,” given to approximately 600 team members whose roles range from accounts payable to upper management.

Scott Young, global director of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability for Dow Building Solutions said, “It’s the collaboration between Dow and our customers that really set us apart. We team up at both the division and corporate levels to maximize the value of our offering—from product delivery and consistent performance to installation training to creating pull-through demand from prospective home buyers. Our partnership has allowed both companies to prosper, even in the recession-battered housing market.”

“As one of the first builders to widely adopt the new Styrofoam SIS Structural Insulated Sheathing in its Green Home program, David Weekley Homes is helping us achieve our goal of making high performance, energy-efficient homes more accessible worldwide,” said Young.

Other Dow insulation and air sealing solutions used by David Weekley Homes include its Froth-Pak Foam Insulation, Super Tuff-R (R-2) Insulation, Styrofoam Brand Residential Sheathing and Styrofoam Brand Sill Seal Foam Gasket.
