Something to Consider: The Show Circuit Begins

January 30, 2012

This year’s trade show season is upon us now. As I write this, World of Concrete seems to be another success, where it still holds the show at its home in Las Vegas. In February, International Builders’ Show will again be in Orlando.

Our industry’s big event will be mid-April, as several shows and meetings take place in Charlotte April 15-19. AWCI’s Annual Seminar begins April 15; CISCA the day after; EIMA on April 17 (CLAPCA also announced it will be meeting in conjunction with EIMA) and the INTEX Expo launches on April 18. It’s a busy but important week-it is the largest gathering of the wall and ceiling industry and we look forward to seeing you there.

May’s shows will begin first with the NWCB’s event in Scottsdale, Ariz., a great show with always a quality program to boot that happens May 10-12. AIA will move this year to the District of Columbia May 17-19.

In the summer, the regional associations typically hold their events. The SCWCPA will again return to the Hyatt Regency Hill County Resort in San Antonio June 20-23; the FWCCA will be in St. Augustine, Fla., July 18-22.

And the list goes on. See Walls & Ceilings’ April issue for a detailed description of these shows and more in the Convention Companion.
