The past two years have been very exciting for Universal Fireproofing Patch (UFP). In addition to helping numerous professionals make the job of patching fireproofing easy and cost effective, they've reached the following milestones:

• UFP was granted a U.S. Patent, the first of its kind within the fireproofing industry in forty years
• They conducted additional adhesion and cohesion testing that went above and beyond basic performance tests. The results were an impressive 2,074 lbs. per square foot. These numbers show that UFP does an outstanding job of sticking to itself as well as to the steel substrate.
• Additional density testing showed a density rating of 38.5 lb per cubic foot. This better proves the considerable effectiveness of the UFP product.
• They conducted additional burn time testing. Initial tests showed a two hour burn time. The new test resulted in a three hour burn time. This is critical for allowing occupants and first responders the time they need to get in and out of a building during a fire.

New Product Pricing

Continued testing helps to ensure the effectiveness of UFP. This is critical when you develop a product designed to save lives. With the cost of additional testing, patenting, and the rising costs of raw materials, we have found it necessary to increase our prices.

Effective July 1, 2019, the new retail price per 25 lb. bucket will be $145.00. The price of the 5 lb. bucket will remain unchanged.
