At the Metal Construction Association’s winter meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Jan. 30, Dick Bus received the first-ever MCA Lifetime Achievement Award. He was surrounded by family and friends during the awards ceremony, and many shared their thoughts about him and his impact on the industry throughout his career.

The Metal Construction Association is proud to announce the launch of the 2022-2023 Metal Architecture Academy. Part of Architectural Record’s Continuing Education Center, the new academy is comprised of eight courses including an on-demand webinar, a multi-media course and six written courses.
The panels were used as exterior wall cladding on this 166-foot-tall building consisting of 10 stories (a two-story base, and an eight-story tower). They were installed by Tuschall Engineering of Burr Ridge, IL, and the architects for the project included Diller Scofidio + Renfro of New York City, and Brininstool + Lynch of Chicago. This project was the first-place winner in ATAS’ 2020 Project of the Year competition, in the commercial walls category.
