June 3-6, Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas

The Construction Specifications Institute’s trade show is now CONSTRUCT. The event will be held in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Educational programs are offered June 3-6, and the exhibits are open June 4-6.

In conjunction with the CSI Annual Convention, CONSTRUCT2008—The Art and Science of Building—is the key event for industrial, commercial and institutional construction and the networking hub for thousands of industry professionals who plan, design, specify and procure for successful project management. The show hosts the latest in industry technology, the newest products and most up-to-date solutions partnered with substantial accredited educational programming.

With over 75,000 square feet of exhibit space, over 200 companies are expected to showcase their products and services. The show expects to draw thousands of architects, designers, engineers, specifiers, general contractors, manufacturers reps, building owners, commercial developers, facilities managers, and more. These industry professionals represent decision-makers and those having decision-making influence to specify billions of dollars a year in products and services.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore hundreds of relevant products and problem-solving solutions as well as the latest products in the New Product Pavilion and sustainable products in the Green Pavilion. Event participants can experience the value of networking and relationship building as a broad spectrum of industry professionals convene in one place to attend the CSI Annual Convention, participate in CSI special programs, earn learning credits and find new vendor partners.

The conference’s 100 sessions offer comprehensive, interactive, expert-led instructive programs and on-floor “how to” training sessions focusing on sustainability, performance, emerging technology, process, practice, leadership and standards. Over 75 percent of the conference sessions provide continuing education credits for CSI CEUs, AIA LUs and HSWs. The schedule allows plenty of time to explore the exhibit floor with non-conflicting time to attend the comprehensive educational programs.

A special events line up includes a General Session that focuses on the future with keynote speaker, Danny Forster, host of Discovery Channel’s “Build it Bigger,” and a practicing architect; a Welcome Reception hosted by Grace Construction; and a strong CSI agenda (including Certification Exams, association annual meeting, Honors and Awards Gala and Fellowship events). Spouse and student programs are available as well.

The conference begins on Tuesday, June 3 with the Las Vegas Chapter Bowling Tournament at 6 p.m. and ends on Friday night with an honors and awards reception and gala.

The sponsor of the conference is the Construction Specifications Institute. The show runs in conjunction with the annual convention of CSI, which consists of 146 chapters and 15,000 members.
