FastClip attaches the company's studs to horizontal supports, while allowing up to 11/2 inches of vertical structural movement without transferring compressive loads into the curtain wall studs. It consists of two components: the 68 mil thick clip and a proprietary screw fastener for attaching the FastClip to the steel stud. It resists lateral loads caused by positive and negative wind pressure on exterior curtain walls. Design loads vary by the thickness of the stud being used.
