The “Gypsum High Strength Accelerator” additive reduces setting times for both Sheetrock Brand Setting-Type (Durabond) and Lightweight Setting-Type (Easy Sand) joint compounds. The accelerator gives contractors the ability to stock and use fewer setting-type joint compound products, while still meeting a range of setting time requirements. Because only small amounts of additives are needed, the product is economical to use.
