World of Concrete 2006

January 16-20, Las Vegas

World of Concrete returned to Las Vegas January 17 through 21, attracting more than 73,000 construction professionals who came to source thousands of new products, ideas and technologies from 1,597 exhibitors, confirming WOC's role as the leading industry provider of concrete and technology solutions.

The show is not only the place for the newest products but the place to source new suppliers, as well. More than 330 companies exhibited for the first time at the 2005 event and product offerings included everything from batch plants, concrete mixing equipment, scaffolding and grout pumps to trucks, loaders, cranes, sawing equipment and more.

More than 10,000 attendees participated in seminar sessions this year. The World of Concrete program features more than 90 seminars in targeted tracks covering everything from concrete basics to decorative concrete and best management practices. Seminar master certificates are awarded to individuals attending four seminars in a specific subject track.

The show features special product and action areas including The Producer Center, a dedicated marketplace of materials, equipment, demos and seminars for concrete producers; material handling, offering trucks, excavators and more for material delivery, distribution, concrete placement and earth moving; concrete repair and demolition, housing a display of surface preparation equipment, scarifying, grinding, sawing equipment and other demolition products; World of Masonry, showcasing a full range of products, tools, information and technology for masonry professionals; and new for 2005, Technology for Construction, a premier feature within World of Concrete sponsored by McGraw-Hill Construction, featuring the newest products and tools for the construction industry from top IT and Systems providers.

World of Concrete's Mega Demos had good attendance while experts demonstrated the uses of Shotcrete during Tuesday's "Shotcrete-Versatility Plus!" demo. The latest techniques and products in decorative concrete were demonstrated Wednesday and Thursday in the "Mega Mega Decorative Concrete Extravaganza," featuring indoor and outdoor applications of stamping, staining, stenciling and more.

An exciting and successful new information technology marketplace, Technology for Construction included a unique 40-session conference program, in addition to product exhibits, as well as a high-level Executive Forum sponsored by Open Text.

World of Concrete 2006 will return to Las Vegas, January 17 through 20, with seminars held the 16th through the 20th. World of Concrete is pleased to have been selected to participate in the U.S. Dept. of Commerce International Buyer Program in 2006.
