During its annual Greenbuild Conference & Expo on November 10, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced it will provide funding for 500 people in underserved communities to earn their LEED professional credential.

Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), the premier organization independently recognizing excellence in green business industry performance and practice globally, has announced the 2020 class of LEED Fellows. 

As companies, organizations and governments focus on safe and healthy reopening plans in response to the pandemic, more than 130 LEED projects have engaged the U.S. Green Building Council’s Safety First pilot credits to support those efforts.

In Latin America, there are more than 4,000 LEED projects and over 1,700 active LEED professionals working to transform buildings, cities and communities into places that improve the living standard for every person. USGBC is honored to recognize eight 2020 Leadership Award recipients whose work across Latin America puts them at the forefront of green building. 

The project team's additional members included: Stantec (formerly ADD Inc.) as the architect-of-record, Pickard Chilton as the exterior architect, Turner Construction as the construction manager, Northstar Project & Real Estate Services as the project manager, Acentech Incorporated as the acoustician and Sasaki as the interior architect. Working closely with Acentech, Sasaki specified Rockfon's acoustic ceiling systems, which were provided by Merrimack Building Supply and installed by Allan Construction.
