We
have all met someone that makes us think differently. How about someone that
makes you look at the world you live in differently? I think these tougher
economic times should make us open our eyes and maybe, just maybe, we will
appreciate what we have.
I first learned about
waterless urinals around eight years ago and was immediately intrigued, and
soon became an enthusiastic user. That’s about the time I began working for
arguably one of the greenest architecture firms in the Northwest. In addition
to my duties as specifier for the firm, I also was allowed to spread my green

After
graduating high school more than four decades ago, I went to work in a factory

too harried to organize his thoughts?
I think the thing to do is dispose with narrative and compose a lazy man’s
article like this one.
Here are some business tips I’ve collected over the years. Some no doubt apply
to your business.
This
column was originally run in October 2004 when home-owners were fixing up older
homes in hopes of flipping them for a handsome profit. Now that the housing
market is experiencing a correction in much of the country, more homeowners are
staying put and sprucing up their homes with the intent of upgrading without
having to sell in a soft market.
