Instead of wood or particleboard cores like conventional wood panels, Arboreal consists of real hardwood veneers laminated to an aluminum core. High-speed computer-controlled equipment transforms the composite material into ceiling or wall panels and trim components. The panels are lightweight, easily curved and can be custom perforated to create strong acoustics with noise reduction coefficients as high as .95. To comply with environmental criteria, the panels release zero formaldehyde or VOCs, contain high post-consumer recycled-materials content and can be made with certified wood veneers.
