The VR Plus Shield is a triple-layer reflective insulation intended for use in vertical wall cavities formed by furring strips attached to the inside of masonry walls. It will yield R-value of 7.1 on nominal 2-inch-by-2-inch furring or in a 1 1⁄2-inch cavity. The Hi-Perm versions of AA2 and VR Plus include small perforations for applications not requiring a vapor retarder and meet all ASTM standards and SBCCI compliance. The versions are compact, lightweight, inexpensive and easy to install.
