The Ceilings and Interior Systems Construction Association has selected Environmental Interiors Inc.'s specialty architectural finish work at Boston's Logan International Airport's International Gateway for the Chairman's Award in Excellence as the nation's Best Interior Subcontracting Project of 2003.

According to a panel of independent judges led by architects from Teng & Associates of Chicago, Environmental Interiors' manufacturing and installation of Skidmore Owings & Merrill terminal design was, "An elegant combination of types, colors and textures-unexpected for an airport environment." Environmental Interiors furnished and installed a specialty architectural finish system including laminated aluminum Transitions Wall Panels, stair and escalator cladding, prefinished aluminum plate column and beam cladding, as well as the building's wood and metal ceiling systems.
