The MetalWorks Capz is a new metal ceiling system suited for open plenum and exposed structure spaces that require good acoustics and the durability of metal. The panels are made from aluminum using ExpanTech technology. This new manufacturing advancement produces a honeycomb composite structure that allows larger panel sizes with less weight and ten times less deflection than standard aluminum panels of the same size, without the use of panel stiffeners. The new addition joins Optima Capz, which features a fine-textured look and the sound absorption of Armstrong Optima ceiling panels, and Spectra Capz, which features the same look and sound absorption as Optima Capz, but in a dark color.
