Sto Corp. recently unveiled its StoViewer, a virtual tool where the user can search for color and texture options in its cladding systems. As follow up, the company has launched a new microsite. From the new microsite the user can go directly to the StoViewer, as well as a new System Finder Tool, which helps select a StoTherm System based on design criteria. The microsite, “Façades Done Right,” found at www.stocorp.com/wow has four major components or “faces” each related to a specific core value. “The façade is the face of a building. While the surfaces of our facades are impressive, it is the core values that stand behind them that provide the ‘Wow’ effect. As the market leader in the area of facade insulation systems, we know what constitutes perfect facades, and this microsite is a great way to showcase all of the features,” said Michelle Leader, LEED AP, marketing communications manager at Sto. The first face or façade is “Thinks Green,” and describes how StoTherm systems have been used to achieve significant energy savings and sustainable building for decades. Next is “Technology Leader,” highlighting Sto’s innovative solutions such as StoCoat Lotusan, the coating that was developed using the concept of biomimicry, and is modeled on the unique self cleaning lotus leaf. The third face is that of the “Trusted Source,” highlighting Sto’s proven experience and quality. The last face is “Design Flexibility,” where the StoViewer can be found. The StoViewer highlights the variety of surfaces and textures Sto offers, from smooth metallic to a stone-look cladding, and shows the design flexibility of StoTherm systems. The virtual tool allows the user to see texture, add color from more than 800 Sto colors, and use a control dial to move light across the surface, enabling the person using it to visualize the variety of surface options available with a Sto system.
