The EIFS Industry Members Association honored Walls & Ceilings’ Straight Green columnist Chris Dixon the Mike Sweeney Award for his piece “EIFS: The Greenest of Cladding Systems.” The column appeared in W&C February 2013.

The award was announced during this year’s EIMA 2013 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, on March 20.

The Mike Sweeney Award was founded by the association in memory of Sto’s Mike Sweeney, who passed in 2011. Sweeney worked as the media relations manager at Sto for 10 years, until his death. While at the company, Sweeney was responsible for public relations and advertising, thanks in large part to his relationships with vendors and the media.

During his time with Sto, he was a dedicated and enthusiastic participant on EIMA’s Communications Committee. Sweeney’s many contributions greatly advanced the work of EIMA and EIFS.
