VOC-free Stains

Sherwin Williams

The Sher-Wood WB-S spray stain and WB-W wiping stain are formulated with raw materials that are reported to contain no VOCs, and have theoretical emitted (calculated) VOCs of 0.0 pound/gal and 0.02 pound/gal respectively. The stain solutions provide attractive alternatives for wood finishers in markets such as kitchen cabinets, furniture and wood building products who must meet strict VOC requirements or who wish to reduce VOCs in their wood finishing operations with no loss of product performance. Both stains are available in a wide variety of colors and work well with most topcoats. WB-S is a water-based spray stain that offers a uniform appearance with minimal to no grain raise and quality touch-up characteristics. WB-W is a water-based wiping stain that provides excellent clarity and a uniform appearance with minimal to no grain raise. Water clean-up for this low-odor stain is fast and easy.

Water-blown Closed-cell Spray Foam

Icynene

Icynene ProSeal Eco is a 100 percent water-blown medium-density closed-cell spray foam. The product does not include any ozone-depleting blowing agents. Moreover, it is a smarter replacement for chemically-based medium density, closed-cell spray foam insulation products for architects and designers seeking a more environmentally sound option. In addition to its positive environmental footprint, the insulation has significantly expanded the number of commercial assembly approvals allowing it to maximize the use of closed-cell spray foam insulation in commercial applications. It has been comprehensively tested in a range of ASTM E119 approved wall assemblies with cost effective materials resulting in a wider range of commercial application possibilities.

Thermal and Acoustical Green Insulation

Owens Corning

The professional-grade R20 ProPink EcoTouch insulation delivers thermal and acoustical performance benefits of a code-compliant and convenient in-stock product. Offered unfaced or with Kraft facing, the product delivers high-performance and sustainability. Featuring a formaldehyde-free formulation made of 99 percent natural materials, it is soft to the touch, making for easy handling and faster installation. It also features excellent stiffness and recovery characteristics and can easily be cut and split for insulating small spaces and odd shaped cavities. These performance attributes help to efficiently install to RESNET Grade 1 quality on every job, and meet the quality insulation installation (QII) requirements for California.

Breathable Air and Water Barrier

DuPont Building Innovations

Tyvek ThermaWrap R5.0 is a building wrap that acts as a breathable air and water barrier, while providing continuous exterior insulation. This new addition helps builders achieve higher R-value wall assemblies, improving energy efficiency while helping to reduce the chance of water accumulation in the wall, which can lead to mold and water damage that may occur when using other non-vapor permeable exterior insulation products. ThermaWrap R5.0 delivers the benefits of a weather barrier along with an insulation value of R5.0 in a single, integrated product that can be installed using familiar installation techniques similar to those for DuPont Tyvek HomeWrap. The product helps keep air and bulk water out of walls, but is breathable, allowing moisture vapor to escape the wall assembly, which helps walls dry to the outside.
