Security Ceilings Division

Gordon, Inc.

Gordon ceiling system
May 31, 2019

Gordon, Inc., a manufacturer of architectural and engineered solutions for interior and exterior applications, has refreshed its Security Ceiling product line by incorporating product and performance aspects from the 2007 acquisition of Environmental Interiors’ Security Acoustical Ceilings with Gordon’s manufacturing enhancements from its Corrections Division.

Endorsed and approved by the State of New York Department of Corrections, Federal Bureau of Corrections, City of New York Department of Corrections, New York Office of General Services, and the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Gordon is redefining the Security Ceiling industry.

From integration and accessibility to flexibility and acoustics, Gordon’s Cel•Line metal plank ceiling and Integrum metal snap-in ceilings are ideal for judicial buildings, correctional facilities, detention centers, public safety buildings, medical/psychiatric facilities, educational and commercial markets. Key features include:

Cel•Line Ceiling System: A non-perforated or perforated tamper-proof metal acoustical plank ceiling system, which can achieve an NRC ratings of 0.70 to 1.00 and STC ratings of 40-44, substantially reducing overall noise levels. Cel•Line's 12", 18” or 24" wide plank modules, with concealed suspension elements, integrate with 12" wide or 24" wide recessed security light fixtures available from several leading manufacturers. Cel•Line’s 12, 14, 16 or 18 gauge steel or 0.40” to 0.125” thick aluminum or 14, 16, 18 gauge stainless steel planks are ship-lapped and side stitched to provide a continuous metal barrier.

Integrum Ceiling System: Formerly named Lockdown, Integrum’s tamper-evident metal snap-in engineered panels along with heavy-duty standard 2'x2' and 2'x4' modulated grid construction makes possible the cost-effective integration of acoustics, lighting, and mechanical systems in the correctional, detention or medical facility environments. Available non-perforated or perforated, the panels are constructed using 18 gauge steel or .040 aluminum. When professionally installed, this ceiling solution provides a rigid, tamper evident ceiling system that serves as a visual concealment barrier for supervised interiors.

“Gordon is committed to providing ceiling system integrity for safety, security, and acoustical comfort and our Cel•Line planks and Integrum panels underscore this commitment,” said

Ron Rice, EVP Sales & Marketing for Gordon, “We recognize the various security and containment challenges and take a multidisciplinary approach to developing superior solutions, support, and services.”
