Ware Malcomb announced on April 5 the hire of Leonard Camposano as director of architecture and the promotion of Kirsten Lien to director of interior architecture & design in the firm’s Pleasanton, California, office. In their respective roles, Camposano and Lien will be responsible for leading the growth and management of their studios for the Pleasanton office.

Camposano brings more than 25 years of experience in architecture, design, planning, construction and management to his new role at Ware Malcomb. His experience includes health care, retail, hospitality, restaurants, high-end residential, airports, education and industrial projects. Most recently, Camposano was director of architecture for a technology-enabled health care provider, where he was responsible for producing and designing the company’s branded clinics and developing overall design standards. Camposano earned a Master of Science degree in advanced architectural design from Columbia University, a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute and is a licensed architect in the state of New York.

Lien joined Ware Malcomb 21 years ago, most recently serving as regional operations manager for the firm’s Pleasanton, San Francisco and Seattle offices while maintaining client relationships for the Pleasanton office. Now focused solely on the Pleasanton office, her new role includes client development, team management and overseeing all interiors projects. Lien has managed a variety of project types throughout her career, including full-service interior design and tenant improvements for office, public and retail facilities. Her experience includes project management, visioning, programming, account management and business development. Lien earned a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design from North Dakota State University and a National Council for Interior Design qualification.
