AD’s Gypsum Supply division gathered in Boston on Sept. 28-30 for a weekend of building connections and strengthening partnerships in the AD community.

The 2023 AD Gypsum Supply Fall Meeting is part of AD’s 2023-2024 meeting season, which features the theme of “Be Different” – a celebration of how independent distributors, supplier partners, service providers and individuals in the AD community embrace their unique strengths to succeed in business and enrich their lives, both personally and professionally.

At the member business meeting, Gypsum Supply Division President Dan Maroni shared financial updates, forecasts and information about valuable AD programs to support future member growth, and he led a panel of suppliers to help the meeting attendees understand what is important, changing with their businesses and how membership can help them become more efficient.

“The Gypsum Supply division has had a strong 2023 so far, thanks to the impressive collaboration and partnership between our members and suppliers,” Maroni said. “Thank you to our community for your continued support of our programs and initiatives and for making valuable meetings like this possible. The Gypsum Supply team is here to service our members’ and supplier partners’ growth. Service is sacrifice and both are inclusive to our approach.”

Attending members also had access to best practice groups designed to enhance knowledge of industry trends and help their companies gain a competitive advantage in their markets. In the member-facilitated discussions, participants talked in a non-competitive environment about opportunities and issues to strategize for success in 2024.

The event kicked off with a meet-and-greet reception, where attendees came together to reconnect with fellow AD community members and form new business relationships. During the weekend, members had access to multiple informal networking activities that offered chances to explore Boston with the AD community, thanks to meeting sponsors MBA Building Supplies, National Gypsum and ROCKWOOL.

Guest speaker Richard Bryan, a renowned succession management speaker and author, discussed his key findings from 25 years of business ownership about how to build cohesive, high-performing teams and create sustainable business growth and profitability.
