USG Taps Toole to Lead Ceilings Sales Growth, Plan
Veteran returns to steer ceilings sales, with focus on systems, service and contractor demand.

USG Corp. has named Mike Toole vice president of ceilings sales, bringing a 20-plus-year company veteran back to a segment where contractor support and system performance are closely tied to specification success.
Toole’s return signals a renewed emphasis on field-facing sales aligned with the technical demands of suspended ceiling assemblies. For wall and ceiling contractors, that typically translates into tighter coordination between grid, panels and perimeter trim, along with clearer guidance on code-driven performance attributes such as fire resistance, seismic compliance and acoustics.
He will oversee sales strategy for core ceilings lines, including USG Mars/Juno, Ensemble and Donn grid. These systems are frequently specified together, and execution in the field depends on compatibility, layout accuracy and proper hanger wire installation, especially in seismic zones or where plenum congestion complicates layout.
