Ware Malcomb announced the appointment of Marian Morioka as director of interior architecture and design in the firm's San Francisco office.

In her new role, Morioka will lead the firm's interior architecture and design studio in San Francisco, overseeing strategic growth, studio operations, client relationships, project performance and team development.

"Marian offers deep expertise in strategic planning, creative direction and full project delivery," said Tom Jansen, regional vice president at Ware Malcomb. "We are excited to welcome her to the team and look forward to the strategic insight and design leadership she will bring to our growing San Francisco office."

A longtime Bay Area resident, Morioka brings more than three decades of experience designing corporate workplace, hospitality and commercial interior environments. Her portfolio includes large-scale, award-winning projects across multiple market sectors, including winery and hospitality design.

Before joining Ware Malcomb, Morioka held leadership positions with several architecture firms and operated her own design consultancy for more than 10 years. Throughout her career, she has managed complex, multi-phase interior projects while maintaining a focus on budget, schedule and quality. She is also recognized for her collaborative leadership style and ability to develop design solutions that align with client goals.

Morioka earned a bachelor's degree in interior architecture from San Jose State University.
