Western Specialty Contractors - New York City Metro Branch has completed a year-and-a-half long project to restore and waterproof the facade of Downtown Manhattan's largest waterfront skyscraper.
Restoring historic buildings takes ingenuity and flexibility with materials, equipment and manpower. The Little Rock, Ark. branch of Western Specialty Contractors used all of the above when it restored and waterproofed the historic Federal Building in Little Rock. The scope of work also included replacing limestone at the exterior planters and restoring expansion joints in the underground, 100-foot-long, concrete tunnel that connects the Federal Building and another government facility.
C. Laney & Sons Construction, a Tennessee general contractor, has begun a historic effort to restore the Sevier County courthouse clock tower. Originally constructed in 1895, the existing tower requires complete removal and replacement due to its aging condition.
The St. Louis branch of Western Specialty Contractors recently completed a project to restore and waterproof the roof of the Museum of Westward Expansion located beneath the iconic Gateway Arch on the St. Louis Riverfront.
