Generational Capital Markets brokered the sale of Tennessee-based Watson Metals to Georgia Metals, a CID Capital portfolio company, expanding Georgia Metal’s market share in metal roofing and building products.

The Metal Construction Association presented its annual Larry A. Swaney Award to Tom Seitz and its first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award to industry legend Dick Bus. Simpson Strong-Tie will invest $110 million to expand its manufacturing operations in Gallatin, Tennessee. The expansion will create 37 new jobs in Sumner County. The new facility on Airport Road will allow Simpson Strong-Tie to meet growing product demand and relocate a portion of its fastener manufacturing operations.

Technoform has added a new plastic, hybrid, stainless steel warm-edge spacer to its family of durable, high-performance, edge seal solutions for insulated glass units. With a matte black finish applied to the sidewall of the spacer, the risk of “shiners,” or exposed stainless steel at the edge from the spacer, can be reduced.
