Increased supply of Honeywell Solstice ze (HFO-1234ze) for foam insulation, aerosol propellant, refrigeration and air conditioning applications to help meet strong demand
Honeywell announced its Baton Rouge, Louisiana, facility has doubled production capacity of Honeywell Solstice ze (HFO-1234ze), an ultra-low-global-warming-potential and energy-efficient solution compared to other current technologies. Solstice ze is used in foam insulation, as an aerosol propellant, and in refrigeration and air conditioning applications.
Honeywell and Central Glass Co. Ltd. have announced an extension of their long-term partnership to include an agreement for Central Glass, based in Tokyo, to manufacture Solstice Liquid Blowing Agent (HFO-1233zd(E)) exclusively for Honeywell. The ready-now hydrofluoroolefin solution is a non-ozone-depleting, non-flammable, ultra-low-global-warming-potential foam blowing agent for use in a wide variety of foam systems and applications, including refrigerators, freezers, spray foam and panels.
