Drywall metal studs and accessories are intended to provide non-structural partition systems that can resist maximum lateral (traverse) loading of 10 pounds per square foot, a superimposed vertical load, exclusive of sheathing materials, of not more than 100 pounds per foot, or a superimposed vertical load of not more than 200 pounds (as defined by ASTMC 645).
