Douglas Burchfield, of Clovis, Calif., died Oct. 27, 2002. Born on Dec. 10, 1928, Burchfield served in the U.S. Navy and in 1952 married Marilyn. This year marked their 50th wedding anniversary.

In 1968, Burchfield founded Spray Force Manufacturing, which he ran for 34 years.
