The Insulating Concrete Form Association is calling for entries for its second annual ICFA Excellence Awards program to promote the outstanding insulating concrete form (ICFs) projects built throughout North America by its member firms.

Commercial buildings and homes begun by April 1, 2006 and completed by July 20, 2007 are eligible for the awards. Both ICFA Primary and Contractor members and their customers will be recognized in each category. Categories include: Large commercial (20,000 square feet or more), Small Commercial (less than 20,000 square feet), Large Residential (3,000 square feet or more), Small Residential (less than 3,000 square feet), ICFA Sustainability Award, Grand Residential Award (selected from all residential projects submitted), and Grand Commercial Award (selected from all commercial projects submitted).

Participation is limited to ICFA members only. Project entries are due at the ICFA office on or before July 20, 2007. Project winners will be recognized during the ICFA Excellence Award Dinner at ICFA’s Fall Meeting and Expo at the Hyatt Regency Union Station St. Louis, Mo., on Sept. 25, 2007.

Kent Stumpe, chairman of the ICFA Board of Directors, is pleased that this program is an annual feature of the Expo. “This program was quickly embraced by our members, and we expect an even greater response this year because everyone recognizes the value that this added publicity brings to their own company and to the industry as a whole,” he said.

The ICFA is the business association of the insulating concrete form industry, representing over 460 international firms. It was founded in 1994 and is located in suburban Chicago.
