Structawire Corp., manufacturer of welded wire products for the construction industry based in Vancouver, B.C., has announced that its new Structa Rib Lath production line began operating in August. The high-speed continuous production line is comprised of 20 separate machines, all computer-controlled and totally integrated, with more than 400 sensors and 1,500 communication pathways.

“Many years of concentrated research into wire shaping, forming and fabricating technology has provided the company with the ability to offer the stucco industry a breakthrough product,” said Jeff Sacks, Structawire president. “This production line starts with raw materials going in, and ends with the finished product on a pallet, ready for shipping.”

The firm has also developed a patent-pending proprietary post-fabrication zinc /chrome coating combination designed to resist corrosion.
