Putzmeister America Inc. has purchased Allentown Shotcrete Technology Inc., based in Allentown, Pa., and celebrated the announcement of the transaction Oct. 9 in Allentown with an Oktoberfest-themed open house featuring facility tours and seminars, a large product display and a reception dinner.

“This is our opportunity to thank our business partners for their past support and introduce you to the newest addition to the Putzmeister America family,” said Putzmeister America President, Dave Adams. “Allentown was founded nearly 100 years ago and this new relationship will take the company to an even higher level, providing the world’s most comprehensive range of sprayed concrete equipment.”

Allentown, well-known for its contributions to the shotcrete industry, will continue to produce pressure tank guns, rotor guns, rotary bowl guns, wet process pumps and high pressure pumps from its Pennsylvania location. The company will also capitalize on its shotcreting expertise for major North American underground construction projects for the worldwide Putzmeister organization. Allentown’s product line now includes over 50 complementary machines.

Putzmeister America is a division of Putzmeister AG, and manufactures a complete line of truck-mounted concrete boom pumps, separate placing booms, truck-mounted telescopic conveyors, and trailer-mounted concrete pumps as well as mortar, grout, shotcrete, plaster and fireproofing pumps and mixers, industrial pumps and tunneling machinery.
