Long-time Sarasota, Fla., plasterer Kevin Walsh has been named director of worldwide application services and product education for FirmoLux, LLC, a worldwide supplier of “fine Italian plasters” commonly known as Venetian Plaster.
Walsh studied the art of plastering first at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota. Later, after he became an accomplished painter and plasterer in the 1980s, he studied and worked in Florence, Italy with renowned Venetian plasterer Carlo Mori.
Firmolux Executive Director and Senior Partner Anthony “Tony” Fiocco said, “Kevin can do incredible things with plaster that pushes the envelope. It is exciting for me to have someone of Kevin’s caliber, and who is passionate about his work as a master craftsman join our fast growing international company.”
Firmolux is headquartered in Sarasota with its manufacturing facility located near Venice, Italy.
