Dryvit’s patented Mojave E finish was selected to be featured on the National Association of Homebuilders New American Home completed not far from where the 2009 International Builders’ Show was held in Las Vegas.

“We are exceptionally pleased that our Mojave E Finish was selected for the exterior of the 2009 New American Home,” said Barbara Catlow, director of marketing communications at the West Warwick, R.I.-based EIFS supplier. “It is our newest finish that is produced with recycled material, and the New American Home was a showcase opportunity for us to demonstrate the perfect marriage of form and function that it represents for the design and application communities.”

The company’s finish is a lightweight, premixed 100 percent acrylic-based coating that offers superior crack resistance. The company claims the finish demonstrates better performance characteristics than standard elastomeric finishes over Outsulation systems and other approved substrates, such as stucco. The flexibility enhances crack bridging on walls, meaning fewer callbacks and lower bottom-line cost. The E Finish product line earned a United States Patent for its formulation and lightweight properties.
